Did you know that babies can develop allergies as Did you know that babies can develop allergies as early as 6 months old? If you've seen clips of our #babyledweaning journey, you know Kali loves to eat! One of the first foods I introduced her to was eggs, and she had an immediate reaction (think Will Smith in the movie Hitch). Naturally, I've avoided eggs since that incident.

She also recently had a gastroenteritis episode, which I thought may have been a random milk allergy. This prompted me to get her tested.

Initially, I was worried the testing would be too much for her, but it was super easy. A few pricks and 15 minutes later we had answers.

While she does have an egg allergy, she'll most likely outgrow it. She can eat baked goods that contain eggs, but no scrambled eggs or omelettes for baby girl!

More info on allergies in babies and toddlers below.

1️⃣ Many children outgrow allergies to milk, soy, wheat and eggs as their digestive systems mature.
2️⃣ Allergies to peanuts, tree nuts, fish and shellfish may be lifelong.
3️⃣ Some common symptoms of food allergies in babies and toddlers include hives or rashes, itching, wheezing or shortness of breath, belly pain, coughing, nausea, vomiting, or abdominal pain.

Do your kids have any allergies?!

Did someone say it's World Doula Week?! Celebratin Did someone say it's World Doula Week?! Celebrating all the doulas around the world for this important and impactful work they do. I'd like to especially highlight my doula @journeyingmamas, for everything she did for us during our last pregnancy. Answering random questions throughout my pregnancy, educating me on what my body should do during labor, coming to my house to help me labor because my husband just had foot surgery, helping me use the bathroom (that's another story for another day) and the list goes ON and ON! Taking time away from her own family because somehow I always end up in labor for 24+ hours.

I am proud to be your first VBAC!

Thank you to all of the amazing doulas out there. You are needed and appreciated!

I understand doula care is not accessible to all, but please check your state's resources, you may be eligible for certain programs.

Swipe for some doula benefits!➡️

Y'all, I did a thing! Over the years I've develope Y'all, I did a thing! Over the years I've developed a habit of checking my phone as soon as a notification comes through. It was taking me away from being productive, and often times present. During my little staycation last month, I turned off my work notifications for email and messaging, and I never turned them back on when I returned! It's been a GAME CHANGER.

I'm already on the computer all day, so there's really no need for me to receive notifications on my phone as well. During non-work hours, I check my e-mail and messages once or twice in the evening to make sure nothing urgent needs my immediate attention.

In addition to that, I removed all of my apps from my home screen, so that only my wallpaper is visible. This forces me to go into my apps to see if I have any notifications.

As a busy mamma of two, I need every minute I can get. Making adjustments like these are super helpful for my productivity!

Below are a few benefits to disabiling push notifications and limiting app usage!

📲 Reduce stress and anxiety by not being constantly bombarded by alerts that demand your attention.

📲 You can be more conscious of your phone use and chooose when to check your apps instead of letting them control you.

📲 You can have less overwhelm throughout the day (and when you wake up) by not seeing a stream of notifications on your lock screen.

Do you like getting push notifications or do you prefer checking your apps/messages at designated times?! Meet me in the comments!

Happy first day of spring! 💐🌹🌺🌼 I can' Happy first day of spring! 💐🌹🌺🌼 I can't believe we're already on to a new season. For us, and many other families, that means spring break is right around the corner. We are getting ready to head out on Spring Break in 2 weeks, so I'm sharing 5 tips for traveling internationally with little ones.

1. Apply for your passports OR check the expiration date on everyone's passports and make sure they extend at least 3 months after your return date (some countries will let you slide if it's less than 3 months, but not worth the risk).
2. If you are traveling with a child without their other parent/guardian, have a notarized letter of consent from them. Again, some countries will let you slide, some won't. If you want to be prepared ahead of time, contact the destination's embassy for specific rules.
3. Buy a good lightweight travel stroller that's compact and easy to fold. We're currently using the @mompush_stroller!
4. Choose non-stop flights or long layovers to avoid rushing and stress.
5. Prepare for delayed luggage by packing essentials in your carry-on bags.
BONUS: Splurge on transportation by taking private transfers instead of public transportation.

Do you have any spring break plans?! What about tips for other moms who may be traveling with children for the first time?! Share below!⬇️

Being a mom is a full-time job, but sometimes we n Being a mom is a full-time job, but sometimes we need a break. That’s why outsourcing is a lifesaver for busy moms like me. By hiring someone else to take care of some of the tasks that drain my energy and time, I can focus on the things that bring me joy and fulfillment. Outsourcing has made me a happier and healthier mom. Here are some of the tasks I outsourced and expenses (I like to look at them as investments) I've picked up, and how they changed my life!

🛒 I don't like grocery shopping! There I said it, lol. Especially with kids. That's not a task I enjoy.
I pay for an @instacart membership, which allows me to shop as much as I want without delivery fees. Do you know how much time I'm saving by having someone else shop for me?!

🧹 Y'all, my kids do not give a hell how many times I put away their toys or sweep the floor. They're still going to make a mess lol. With all of the hats I wear, I just don't have time to clean my house from top to bottom as often as I need to. Hiring a house cleaning service has been a GAMECHANGER for my household.

🚗 On those nights we don't feel like cooking @ubereats for the win!

🧖🏾‍♀️ Trying to make sure everyone is taken care of is exhausting! Having a @handandstoneusa membership allows me (and forces me) to take an hour out of my month to relax and let some of the stress go!

💻 Virtual therapy sessions for the win! Whether you need an outlet to cope with the challenges that come with motherhood, want to improve your communication with your partner or children, therapy has many benefits! I love being able to let my hair down in a judgement free space. Shout out to @therapyforblackgirls for helping me find my therapist!

💪🏾 Lastly, the gym. While I workout at home, being able to go to the gym and workout in community with others motivates me. This is another way I release my stress!

What's a task you outsource or an expense you don't mind paying to get a peace of mind?!
