How many times have you heard someone say somethin

How many times have you heard someone say something like this? My bones may be a little rusty, but I'm a year away from the big 40 and I still have energy to play with my kids!

To all the mid to late 20 year olds out there. Don't let people dictate the appropriate age you MUST have a child by, in order to keep up with them. Do you.

Long story short...I signed up to volunteer and missed the email from the PTA confirming I was in fact needed!

By the time I saw the email, my shift was about to end. I sat in my car and cried, because I was looking forward to volunteering and he was too. After a quick cry, and regroup with some of my mom tribe, I pivoted. Although I missed my opportunity to volunteer, a class dojo notification came through inviting parents to catch the end of field day, during the tug of war contest.

To see my soon to be first grader having a fun-filled time with his friends and rooting the bigger kids on, made my day!

It’s completely normal to feel mom guilt, especially when we think we’ve missed out on something important. But remember, you’re doing an amazing job! Life is full of unexpected twists, and sometimes those unplanned moments turn out to be the most memorable. 💕

Work hard, play hard. May in a few seconds. 💐

Headed into the month of May, I knew my schedule was going to be insane. Between work meetings/travel and three trips, it all felt scary at first. But let me tell you, my cup is FULL.

I've been on this motherhood journey for almost 7 years, and I feel like there are certain "milestones" you hit as a mom throughout years. When I got pregnant with Kali, Karter was 3 and I felt like I was just getting back to ME. He was independent, going with the flow, and I was starting to get back to all the things that shape me outside of just being "mom."

Now that Kali is 2.5, I'm finally starting to feel like I'm getting back to ME again. I'm finding my stride, traveling more consistently, doing things that make me feel good, avoiding things that don't, and through it all, I'm still MOM. 💕

So, if you feel like you're in the thick of motherhood, and struggling to get back to you, just know that you too will hit your next motherhood milestone. It may not look like everyone else's "next," but it will be uniquely yours and you WILL breathe again. 💕

Two big moments for me last month was closing our co-sleeping chapter, when Kali finally decided she was ready to sleep in her big girl bed, and she never looked back. I also took my first trip without hubby or kids (that wasn't for work), since becoming a mom of two. BONUS: I came out of the month a happier, more patient and energetic mom. 🙃

Thankful for a village that not only supports our kids, but this mamma as well. #blessed
